Gaza

Gaza was one of the five chief Philistine cities, marking a border of ancient Canaan, and later the road Philip the evangelist traveled.

Named in 23 verses across 13 books of the Bible.

Samson was captured, blinded, and put to grinding labor in a Gaza prison.

The Philistines seized Samson, put out his eyes, brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with bronze fetters to grind in the prison house (Judges 16:21).
