A man from the tribe of Manasseh living at the time of Egypt and Wilderness, first mentioned at Num.26.32) referred to as Shemida (שְׁמִידָ֑ע), or Shemidaite (שְׁמִידָעִי); son of Gilead; a brother of Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem and Hepher; father of Ahian, Shechem, Likhi and Aniam.
